Overview vs custom dashboards

Each project can show an Overview dashboard when at least one electrical meter tree is configured. Overview summarises KPIs, charts, alerts, projections, and related insights for the site.

Custom dashboards appear in the Dashboards side menu under Overview. Open any dashboard to view widgets configured in the builder.

What you see on Overview (Live vs Historical default, which sections appear) can follow your persona — for example executives often start in Historical with a simpler KPI focus.

Live and Historical modes

On Overview, switch between Live and Historical in the header.

Live shows a realtime snapshot: today-so-far style KPIs, last-60-minute metrics, a live consumption chart, and active alert context when available.

Historical (sometimes labelled Day on mobile) uses a date range for investigation — step previous / next periods, open presets (Today, This week, Last month, and more), or pick a custom range on the calendar.

Date range on custom dashboards

Historical custom dashboards include the same style of date control in the sticky header: presets, calendar range, and previous / next stepping by the active frequency.

Realtime dashboards refresh live data and typically do not use the historical date picker.

kWh, cost, or both

When project rates are configured, use the display toggle in the dashboard header to show energy (kWh), cost, or both.

This affects charts, tables, and comparison widgets consistently across Overview and custom dashboards.

Share, refresh, and Print Report

Use Share to copy a short link (valid for a limited time such as 24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days) or the full link with the current range encoded.

Print Report opens a condensed one-off report wizard. From Overview, the dashboard and reporting period are already known (Live snapshot or the selected Historical range), so you mainly set Design, Delivery, and Review.

From a custom dashboard, Print Report uses the dashboard you are viewing and still lets you confirm the reporting period when needed. Print Preview opens a browser print view without creating a stored report run.

• Refresh reloads Overview or dashboard data without changing your selected range.
• Edit dashboard (where permitted) opens the builder for that dashboard.

Bookmarks and investigation

On custom dashboards, zoom or brush a time range and save it as a bookmark from the Bookmarks panel. Reopen bookmarks to return to an investigation quickly.

Saved bookmarks also appear under your user Profile → Bookmarks.
