Report templates
Design reusable report layouts for one-off runs and scheduled automations.
Templates vs reports
Report templates are reusable designs: page layout, widgets / sections, display units, theme, and optional default period policy.
Reports are the outputs produced when you (or an automation) run a template or one-off wizard — with a concrete date range and delivery result.
Templates library
Open Report templates from the project menu. Search by template name. Each card summarises page size, display unit, theme, default period (if set), and created date.
Open template edits the layout. Create Template starts a new design.
Design a template
Build content from dashboards (including Overview), meter trees, charts, tables, projections, and other section types available in the content builder.
Set Design options such as A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape, theme (for example Minimal), and energy display units.
Use rolling or policy-based default periods for scheduled use so each automation run covers the correct relative window — avoid fixed calendar ranges that never move forward.
- Automations bind to a report template; keep the template active and the period policy relative.
- You can still generate a one-off report from a template via Quick Report.
Use with automations
From Automations → Quick Automation (Report) or Advanced, select the template, schedule, and delivery overrides.
You can also start scheduling flows from related report or template actions where your permissions allow.
